Accessibility Statement

​Roots to Blooms is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is central to who we are: we support autistic children and their families, and we believe the way we build our website should reflect the same respect for individual needs that guides our therapy practice.

 

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We are actively working through a remediation plan. Known areas still being addressed are listed under "Known limitations" below.

 

What we have done

  • Written descriptive alternative text for images so screen reader users get the same information sighted visitors do

  • Reviewed text and background color combinations across the site and increased contrast where text was too faint to read comfortably

  • Reviewed heading structure so screen reader users can navigate pages by section

  • Reviewed link and button wording so each one describes where it leads

 

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are working to resolve these:

  • Text over photographs. Some headings sit on top of photographs. We have checked these by eye, but automated tools cannot measure their contrast reliably.

  • Embedded third-party components. Some booking, form and events features are provided by our website platform. We have limited control over their markup.

  • Older documents and images. Some material published before this statement may lack full text alternatives.
